Tomato Sauce For Pizza

Ingredients

Ripe fresh tomatoes1kg
Onion1
Garlic2 cloves
Olive oil1 fillet
Aromatic herbs1 tbsp
Sugar1 tbsp
Salt pepper

Preparation of the recipe: tomato sauce for pizza

  1. To start, immerse the tomatoes in a large pot of simmering water for 2 minutes. Immediately transfer them to a bowl of cold water, drain, then peel them.
  2. Then cut the tomatoes in half, deseed them, then cut them into small cubes.
  3. Peel and chop the onion and garlic cloves. Brown them in a large pan with a drizzle of olive oil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Then add the tomato cubes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the herbs and sugar, then mix. Let the tomato sauce simmer for about 30 minutes. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  5. About 5 minutes before the end of cooking, remove the lid and let the tomato pizza sauce reduce. Let the tomato sauce cool before using it to prepare your pizzas.
