Cheese croissants

Here is a little recipe ideal in case of a little hunger or for an evening starter. Crispy and tender, these puff pastry croissants can be prepared with various cheeses.

Ingredients

Emmental160g
Rectangular puff pastry1
Egg yolk1
Heavy cream4 teaspoons
White sesame seedsSome

Preparation of the recipe: cheese croissants

  1. Preheat the oven to 180┬░C.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut out 4 triangles of the same size.
  3. Cut 4 Emmental sticks of 40 g each.
  4. Spread a spoonful of thick cream on each triangle of dough and place the stick of Emmental on the widest part of the triangle.
  5. Roll up the croissant from the widest part towards the tip, fold the tips on each side and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  6. Using a kitchen brush, brush them with egg yolk and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the croissants are golden and crispy.
  7. Serve your cheese croissants and enjoy on their own, or accompanied by a green salad.
